New Grand Vitara XL 7 Seater
The famous Japanese car manufacturer Suzuki is now working to launch the seven seater versions of their premium SUV grand vitara for the Indian market, It will be called Grand Beta XL.
The codename of the SUV is Y17. The Grand Vitara is the brand’s newly launched compact SUV in the Indian market.
The new model will be based on company’s global C platform.
The company is planning to bring the seven seater versions of Grand Vitara as the rival of Tata Safari, Mahindra SUV 700, Hyundai Alcazar, MG Hector Plus.
Suzuki already has Ertiga and XL6 in the affordable seven seater segment and Invicto in the premium segment.
Suzuki is bringing this SUV to fill up the gap between Ertiga and Invicto.
The Executive Director, Mr. Shashank Srivastava of maruti suzuki India Limited, told that Maruti suzuki has a plan to capture 50% of the market share in the SUV segment in India. New Grand Vitara XL
The seven seater versions of the Grand Vitara will get a longer wheelbase than the current model to accommodate additional third row.
Pricing Of New Grand Vitara XL 7 Seater
The company has a plan to bring the seven seater versions of Grand Vitara either in the end of 2024 or early 2025, at the expected price range between 12 to 18 lakhs Ex-showroom.
Engine Power
Talking about the power, the new upcoming SUV will get two engine options
➤ A 1.5 litre TNGA Atkinson strong hybrid petrol engine paired with an electric motor which can generate 115 bhp of power and 141 NM of peak torque,
➤ A 1.5 litre K15C Mild hybrid petrol engine, which can produce 103 bhp of power and 137 NM of peak torque. New Grand Vitara XL
➤ The mild hybrid engine will be paired to an optional five speed manual or a six speed torque converter automatic transmission, whereas the strong hybrid versions will get a CVT transmission.

Mileage
The SUV will offer the mileage between 20 to 28 kmpl.
Exterior View
In terms of exterior styling, the new grand Vitara XL will share its underpinnings and mechanicals with the current Grand Vitara.
It will get the same design language in the form of chrome studded black front grille, bumper mounted projector headlamps, LED DRLs, flat bonnet and front silver skid plate. New Grand Vitara XL
Side View
The side profile will not get major changes except the bigger wheelbase to accommodate the third row.
Besides that, it will get power ORVMs with turn indicators, chrome inserts at the lower half of the windows, strong shoulder line, sloping roof line and 17 inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
Rear View
