New Toyota Fortuner
The famous Japanese car manufacturer Toyota has confirmed to launch the next generation Fortuner in the indian market along with mild hybrid technology.
The next generation Fortuner will be based on Toyota’s new TNGAF platform, which also underpins the land Cruiser LC 300 and Lexus L X 500d.
The platform can incorporate both IC and hybrid power trains. The new Fortuner will come with hybrid powertrain, new exterior, interior and new features.
Toyota already launched the new Fortuner and Hilux in the South African markets with mild hybrid system.
New Fortuner Pricing
Toyota has a plan to bring this new model in the indian market in the end of 2024 at the expected price range between 32 to 50 lakh.
More interestingly, Toyota has recently launched an updated model of Fortuner in Thailand with mild hybrid engine without any major changes in the exterior and interior. New Toyota Fortuner
Toyota has equipped this model with few feature upgrades like tire pressure monitoring system, a larger 9-inch touch screen infotainment system, wireless Apple carplay, Android Auto and a wireless charger.
Still, it is not clear that Toyota will introduce the new model of the Fortuner or the existing model with some feature upgrades in the indian market.
Engine Power
In terms of power, the new Toyota Fortuner will get retuned 2.8 liter turbocharged diesel engine along with 48 volts mild hybrid system which can produce 224 bhp of power and 500 NM of peak torque.
The engine will be paired to an optional six speed manual and a six speed torque converter automatic gearbox along with four export configurations.
According to Toyota, the new upcoming Fortuner will receive the strong hybrid powertrain afterwards. Whereas the current Fortuner offers a mileage of 10.1 kmpl to 14.24 kmpl, the new model will offer a mileage up to 16 kmpl.
Exterior Features
In terms of exterior styling, the next generation model will get a sportier rug look and will receive a number of cosmetic changes in compared to the existing model.
Upfront, it is expected to get LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, new chrome accented large hexagonal font grille, slicker air drums, bumper-mounted led fog lights and a font silver skid plate.New Toyota Fortuner
The side popular will get power war beams with integrated turn signals, chrome-accented door handles, tinted glass, chrome steep at the windows roof rail, bodyside plastic cladding, large square shaped wheelux with black cladding and a new set of 22-inch diamond cut multispoke alloy wheels.
The rear propeller will receive sleek LED tail lights. A horizontal light bar joins the two tail lights.
