Mahindra XUV 700
Mahindra has updated the hugely popular XUV 700 for 2024 and beyond. we’ll talk of the five most important things you should know about it.
Exterior
There are no changes on the outside to design or styling, but there is a new Napoli black paint shade, NAX7 and AX7L versions take it a step further with an all-black grill, all-black wheels, and at the sides, you’ll notice the chrome detailing has gone and made way for black piping. The XUV 700 is a handsome SUV to start with, and the all-black look gives it added presence. That all-black theme doesn’t extend onto the inside, though.
Interior
You still get cream leather the red upholstery for the seats and this cream soft touch materials for the dashboard.
If you really look around, you will find dark chrome surrounds for the air convents and the center console. Mahindra XUV 700
The big talking point on the 2024 XUV 700 Its interior is the option of captain’s chairs for the middle row on the AX7 trim version. Now, these seats look plush, and they really add a sense of luxury to this cabin.
I really like that the seats are also large, so people with healthier frames will be quite comfortable, and you also have the option of a backrest recline, but the seats are not perfect.
I find cushioning at the lower back a bit hard. You can’t move your seats back and forth, and while there is a boss mode for this seat, it’s manual.
Also, no seat ventilation at the back. The experience in the third row remains same as before. Mahindra XUV 700
Access to the very back is convenient enough, but if you’re any taller than, you will find this space quite tight. Also, the seating position is quite knees up.
What New Features Does It Get
Feature upgrades include front seat ventilation, which is something that’s been missing on the XUV 700 since launch.
The other thing is the driver memory package has also been upgraded. So apart from saving the position of the driver’s seat, it also recurs the position of the mirrors, which is very handy. Mahindra XUV 700
Screen
The 10.25 digital dials and 10.25-inch touch screen continue as before, but the e-Sim-based connected suite has been enhanced.
So you get 13 new features, including new alerts such as a DPF Choke alert, a break pad wear alert.
You can also add in personalized meetings for every time you enter the vehicle. And among the new features is an M-Lens function.
So you can actually use your phone to scan warnings on your instrument cluster to understand what they mean and the action that needs to be taken.
What remains a miss, no auto dimming inside mirror, still. In other ways, the XUV 700 continues to be well-equipped with features like LED headlights, panoramic sunroof, dual zone climate control, and more. Mahindra XUV 700
The safety suite is long, too. Top versions pack in seven airbags, ABS, ESC, as well as radar and camera-based ADAS functions, which are well-in-tuned with Indian driving conditions.
What engine does it get
There are no power train changes for 2024. Engine options include a 200 horsepower, 2 liter turbo petrol engine.
Now, the engine is smooth, it’s refined, and it’s powerful, but it doesn’t score well on fuel economy.
In fact, most buyers will find a better fit in the diesel versions of the XUV 700. Lower spec versions run the 2.2 liter turbo diesel engine with 155 horsepower, while higher spec versions get 185 horsepower.
Gearboxes
On the whole, it’s a very nice and likable engine. Both engines can be had with manual and auto Gearbox options, and you’ll be very happy with performance with each of the four power trains.Mahindra XUV 700
The diesel auto also gets the option of all wheel drive. There’s nothing new to report in ride and handling, and as before, the XUV 700 feels very good to drive with easy and light manners in town and a confident feel at high speeds.
Pricing
Prices don’t see too much of a change. The range now starts at 13.99 Lakh rupees, while the priciest XUV 700 now comes in at 26.99 Lakh rupees.
