New Toyota Taisor Hybrid SUV
Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the strategic partner of Suzuki, is bringing an all-new subformator, Coups-style crossover SUV in the Indian market.
It is expected to be called Urban Cruiser Taisor.
The Toyota Taisor is an upcoming B2 segment SUV with seating for up to five occupants.
Currently, Toyota collaborates with Maruti Suzuki on Baleno, Vitara Brezza, Artiga and Grand Vita.
This upcoming model will mark Toyota’s re-entry into the compact SUV segments after the discontinuation of the Urban Cruiser.
This SUV will be reverse versions of Maruti Suzuki Fronx. It will become the fifth model presently shared between Suzuki and Toyota.
The upcoming Taisor SUV will borrow the design inspirations from the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, although it will boast a different exterior design from its Maruti Suzuki counterpart. Toyota Taisor
Price & Variants
Toyota has a plan to bring this SUV in the Indian market by April 2024 at the expected price range between 7 to 15 Lakhs.
After launch, the SUV will be the rival of Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Fronx, tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 300, Renault Kigar, and Nissan Magnite.
The Taisor SUV is likely to be offered in four variants, namely E, S, G, and V.
Power Engine
In terms of power, the crossover will get the same petrol engine options as the Fronx.
➤ BS6 998 cc, 1 liter turbocharge, three-cylinder booster jet petrol engine, along with SHVS mild hybrid system, which can generate 100 horsepower and 148 Nm of peak torque. Toyota Taisor
➤ The naturally aspirated 1.2 liter K-Series dual jet petrol engine with SHVS, which can produce 90 horsepower and 113 Nm of peak torque.
➤ The engines will be meted to an optional five-speed manual, five-speed MT, or a six-speed torque converter automatic Gearbox.
The SUV can deliver the mileage between 20 to 23 kmpl. Toyota is expected to offer CNG variants of the Taisor based on the 1.2 liter petrol engine, similar to the Fronx.
Exterior styling View
Talking about the exterior styling, the new SUV will get spotier rug look and will receive the aerodynamic design inspirations from its Maruti Suzuki counterpart.
Upfront, it will get LED projector headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs, more aggressive chrome-inserted trapezoidal font grill with Toyota badging at the center, slick black air intakes, with chrome inserts, updated font bumper, and font pox Silver Skid plate. Toyota Taisor
Side View
The side profile will get power with indicated turn indicators, body color door handles, tinted glass, chrome steep at the windows, roof rail, side body molding, Large square-shaped V-lugs with black plating and new set of 16-inch diamond-cut aloy wheels.
Back Side View
