Missing works well enough as a popcorn flick that doesn’t demand much in the way of concentration.
That makes it a solid throw-way that offers a couple hours of forgettable entertainment.
Missing recreates the “Vertigo shot” on a screen space filled with FaceTime and Google Tabs. It gets five stars just for that!
As a mystery, Missing has a cozy airport-fiction intrigue, like a Lois Duncan pageturner for a readership that swipes to turn pages

| 1st Review It builds lightly on the original but is very much its own treat of a twisty thriller. |
| 2nd Review It’s not exactly riveting to watch June download and install WhatsApp so that she can video call Colombia. Yet, there’s some pleasure in a brains-over-brawn quest that flatters us to fancy that we might be clever enough to solve it ourselves |
| 3rd Review This is not a movie that can be watched on autopilot. Not only can you not take a bathroom break without being left out in the cold upon return – you also literally can’t blink at the wrong time. |
